US state privacy law — California’s CCPA/CPRA and its counterparts elsewhere — gives you a right to opt out of the ‘sale’ or ‘sharing’ of your personal information for advertising. What follows is how that operates on mealgrace.com.
After You Opt Out
Opting out stops the sharing of advertising identifiers; it does not remove advertising from the site. You may still see ads, but they will be generic rather than selected from your browsing history. Nothing else about the site changes, and we do not degrade access or withhold content because you opted out.
What Triggers This Right
No money changes hands for your data. The relevant practice is this: where advertising runs, ad partners may receive cookie or device identifiers associated with your browser. Because ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are defined broadly in these statutes, that may qualify — so we offer the opt-out regardless.
This holds for all readers of mealgrace.com, whether they have interacted with us or not.
How to Proceed
To exercise the right: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser (honoured automatically, no message needed); or refuse advertising cookies via the consent banner where shown; or send an email to hello@mealgrace.com with the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We will not ask you to create an account to do this.
Our State Privacy Notice covers the remaining rights available under state law.
